What is microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion uses an adjustable applicator head that removes dead surface skin cells and initiates cellular turnover ath the dermis and epidermis levels in a safe and controlled manner. This is augmented by a selection of serums depending on your skin concerns and goals. This approach respects the integrity of the skin and promotes even healing. Maintaining even cellular growth on the surface aids in the youthfulness of the skin's appearance.  Microdermabrasion has been used to treat aging and sun-damaged skin, some type of acne and acne scarring, altered pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and stretch marks.  Results may include improved skin tone, fewer breakouts, diminished appearance of scars, even skin color, refined pores, renewed elasticity and a healthy glow. What is microneedling? Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is an aesthetic procedure used for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. This procedure is intended to remove the skins’ dead surface layers and stimulate histological reactions under the skin surface in an effort to improve the vitality and health of the skin. Skin needling procedures are performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of the sterile needle head. The procedure involves use of the skin needling system that allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanisms by creating “micro-injuries.” These “micro-injuries” are created by gently pressing and gliding the Derma genesis suction tip and its reciprocating micro-needles across the skin’s surface. Since the micro-needling creates superficial micro-channels, the procedure is combined with the infusion of specific serums to further aid in the overall appearance of the skin. These include, but are not limited to hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, green tea extract, vitamin C, vitamin E, lactic acid, salicylic acid, peptides and fibronectin.
